The Sofia City Court (SCC) revoked Thursday the two-year suspended sentence of notorious businessman and alleged court lobbyist Krasimir Georgiev, aka Krasio the Black, for perjury.

The name of Krasio the Black surfaced in the summer of 2009, when Ivan Kolev, member of the Supreme Judicial Council (VSS), announced that “some guy called Krasio from Pleven”  was “selling” senior posts in the judiciary for EUR 200 000.

Krasio was said to be able to “guarantee” the support of 8-13 members of a total of 27 members of the VSS.

Bulgarian Oligarch to Sell Litex Businesses

Well-known Bulgarian businessman Grisha Ganchev, who faces charges of running an organized crime group specialized in tax fraud and issuing a murder threat against the Director of the National Revenue Agency (NRA), plans to sell his entire business in a year.

In a Thursday interview for Darik radio, the owner of the Litex group of companies says he will also give up on all of his investments in sports.

The prosecuting authority pressed charges against Gancehv on Tuesday, while the Chief Directorate for Combating Organized Crime (GDBOP) issued a 24-hour arrest warrant.
