Bulgarian Wall Street broker Yulian Tsolov was released from prison after spending 4 years behind bars in New York.

Tsolov was released on January 4, 2013, according to the records of the US Federal Bureau of Prisons, as cited by Bulgarian daily 24 Hours.

According to the law, the 40-year old man should have been brought back to Bulgaria after his release.

In end-July, Tsolov registered a company in Sofia.

While he was in prison, he had to part with his luxury apartment on 5th Avenue, which was sold in 2011 for USD 2 926 195.

As a result, Tsolov will not have to return the USD 4.45 M bonus he received upon his appointment at Morgan Stanley.

Before being convicted in the US, Tsolov had started building a house in Sofia’s Dragalevtsi district, while his mother had bought a loft in Bulgaria’s capital.
