Thorough inspections have been launched in Greece due to the smuggling of Bulgarian bread in the country.

A document presented in the Greek parliament by the local Ministry of Development, Competitiveness and Shipping has revealed that an increased control will be imposed on the Greek bread market over the Bulgarian smuggling.

According to New Democracy MP Maria Kollia-Tsaroucha, Greek bread producers are facing problems due to Bulgarian bread with questionable quality and an unknown producer being smuggled into the country.
